Alien PANIC!!!

Board game created as part of the coursework at Glasgow Caledonian University.

"Alien PANIC!!!" is a co-operative 4-player board game revolving around the theme of First Contact with extraterrestrial race. One day, Earth receives a coded transmission from the aliens, proving once and for all that we are not alone in the universe. This news causes increasing global panic and unrest as people are to guess what are the aliens' true intentions. The players assume the role of four operatives tasked to travel the globe and quell the escalating crises as they work on deciphering the message. Will the Earth hold together or will it plunge into anarchy before the alien arrival? 

The game's estimated play time is around 20-30 minutes. Since the game is balanced for four operatives, it is intended for four players but, in case you have only 2 or 3 players, one or two of you can assume control of two operatives to plug in the gaps.

This project provided an interesting challenge for our team. For the assignment, we were given instructions to avoid creating a typical violent/action-heavy board game.  I designed the movement system, the resource management as well as the basic premise of the game. Overall, I think that we've achieved our goal quite well and met the specifications.
